If you are scared of needles, travelling to Tanzania, let alone climbing Kilimanjaro is not for you!
The trip necessitates a minimum of 3 injections but could lead to a possible course of 10 separate innoculations!
Essential
- Tetanus, Diphtheria and Polio (combined)
- Typhoid and Hepatitis A (combined)
- Yellow Fever
Recommended
- Meningitis A, B, W and Y
- Rabies (3 injections)
- Hepititus B (3 Injections)
Be warned, many of the vaccinations – including Yellow Fever – are not free on the national health service (NHS) in the UK. The full cost of all vaccinations could be as much as £300.
