The Kili Climb

Jonathan Stewart

I’m 26, and have worked at iCrossing for the last 3 years. My current role is as a Natural Search Strategist – on a day to day basis I oversee the actions of a team of Natural Search Analysts who roll out search engine optimisation strategies across a portfolio of blue chip clients. I graduated with a degree in Maths in Artificial Intelligence from Sussex University in 2002.

I once had the opportunity to meet Elvis:

the Queen:

and George Bush:

Outside of work I like to socialise, DJ (you can check out my latest mix here), and cycle. Apart from raising money for the Amani Children’s Home, I’m currently preparing for the Randonnee Challenge – a 100 mile bike along the South Downs Way. That’s right – 100 miles. In one day. Cross country. I also have a personal bet with another Kili climber, David Coats – £100 that I cross the Randonnee finish line before him!

This isn’t the first mountain I’ve climbed – last year I climbed Ben Nevis to raise £300+ for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Here’s me at the top:

My personal aim is to raise £1000 for the kids – I’m even tentatively considering shaving my head to help reach that target. I’ve not had short hair since I was 15, and am genuinely scared about this prospect!
