How Your Sponorship Will Help Amani
So why should you sponsor us? Quite simply, we believe the Amani Childrens home is a cause worth our time and efforts.
The Amani home runs a number of programmes to help children who have ended up on the street, supporting them through basic health care and nutrition, education, and also social work - with the intention of family reunification where possible. Read more about the work they do here.
These programmes rely entirely on donations from sponsors and supporters. So each donation, big or small, makes a significant difference.
Our fund-raising climb up Kilimanjaro aims to raise enough money for the building of a playground for the children. There are 86 children living at Amani at present, and they have a lot of energy! So to give them a place to play is our goal. This playground would have to be imported from South Africa, at a cost of approximately £10,000. We want to let you know exactly how the money we raise will be spent, so an exact breakdown will be kept updated here.
